Hospital Attendant in Dhaka
A hospital attendant from Care Excellence stays with your patient in their cabin or ward in Dhaka, handling feeding, hygiene, mobility and calling hospital staff when something changes. You pay the normal staff rate plus a hospital surcharge: ৳200 per day for a cabin, or ৳500 to ৳800 per day for a common ward, which needs two attendants.
Two kinds of attendant
Caregiver attendant

Frequently asked questions
How much does a hospital attendant cost in Dhaka?
You pay the base staff rate plus a hospital surcharge. A caregiver is ৳1,100 to ৳1,500 per day depending on the tier, a nurse is ৳2,000 per day for 12 hours. A cabin adds ৳200 per day. A common ward adds ৳500 for caregivers or ৳800 for nurses, and needs two attendants.
Why does a common ward need two attendants?
In an open ward a single attendant cannot safely cover one patient around the clock, because there is no closed room, more disruption and more movement. Two attendants make continuous cover possible. That is why the ward surcharge is higher than the cabin surcharge.
Do you provide attendants at any hospital in Dhaka?
We place attendants in hospitals across Dhaka. Individual hospitals set their own rules about who may stay with a patient and for how long, so tell us which hospital and ward your patient is in and we will confirm what is possible before you book.
Can the same attendant continue at home after discharge?
Yes, and most families want this. Once the patient is discharged the hospital surcharge stops and you move to the normal home rate for a caregiver or a nurse. Continuity matters after a hospital stay, because the attendant already knows the patient's condition and routine.
Is an attendant the same as a nurse?
Not necessarily. A caregiver attendant handles feeding, hygiene, mobility and calling hospital staff. A nurse attendant is a licensed nurse who can also provide clinical observation. Most admitted patients need the first, since the hospital's own nurses handle clinical care.
Can we book an attendant for nights only?
Yes. Overnight cover is the most common hospital request we receive, because it is the shift families struggle to fill themselves. A 24 hour shift includes an 8 hour rest window and 3 meals, and a 12 hour shift includes 1 meal.
