What happens on a 24 hour shift?
A 24 hour shift includes an 8 hour rest window for the caregiver and 3 meals with accommodation provided by the family. A 12 hour shift includes 1 meal. Each caregiver takes 4 days off per month, and if a replacement is needed that adds 50 percent of the daily rate.
Can a caregiver stay with a patient in hospital?
Yes. A hospital cabin adds ৳200 per day to the rate. A common ward needs 2 caregivers rather than 1 and adds ৳500 per day, because a single caregiver cannot safely cover a patient in an open ward.
